Certaines de mes connaissances avaient des doutes sur la culpabilité de b1naryth1ef.
Afin de mieux comprendre ce qui s'est réellement passé j'ai décidé de mener l'enquête.
J'ai donc regarder des messages de binary sur reddit et co, mais je n'ai pas eu accès a son twitter sachant qu'il fallait être un abonné confirmé.
Puis j'ai discuté avec lui par mail en essayant de me mettre de son côté pour obtenir sa version avec le plus d'information possible.
Vous remarquerez mon anglais absolument horrible.

I wouldn't know how is the real evenments in this "accident".

Me and my friends teams doubt of the official version who said you are the "hacker" of source.
Because there are lot of strange thing FS news and reality.
And screenshoot about name isnt an evidence.

For exemple i see than you help people who have lost the masterserv, and you don't offense FS but you are also a good defender of Freesoftware so i have some doubts ...
Maybe you are a scapegoat.
Maybe i m wrong and you lie, but if you can i want speak with you of this evenement to defense and restore your dinity with your own idea.

I already have bad experience in urt about my critical idea.
But if you haven't done anything I think it just a deplorable behavior of FS.

I'm not really "restoring my dignity". FS made a clear choice to bend the truth to their liking, and have clearly lied along the way (look at the timestamps of my reddit post, vs their news post claiming I quit when I was confronted. Thats a clear lie, so if they did it there, why not lie throughout the whole post?). The screenshots are indeed hardly proof, and it seems all too convenient the download for the leak was pulled before this news post was released, so people can't even verify what FS is claiming.

If you're looking for any more of a rebuttal against the clear stupidity that is FS trying to play cop, heres a few notes:

"There are at least three copies of an IRC chat log floating around the internets (the earliest is from June 17, 2013) of a plot to get B1naryTh1ef to steal the code so they could sell Urban Terror under a different name on Steam using a wrapper to pull the assets from our website."
I don't see any links to these logs? Why even mention them if you can't verify them? Whats the point of even saying that?

I currently work for Valve Software, you heard of them? I think thats enough to shut this entire masquerade by FS down, but I really don't even need too. It's clear here the only intention by FS was too minimize the effort I put into the game, and try to make me look bad. I don't see any other meaning to that.

If you still don't believe me, then hopefully that will tilt you over the edge. The idea that the only news post on their website that is "locked" is one about a supposed developer gone rogue, with the only proof being flimsy screenshots is disgusting to me.

Alas, I'm moving on from UrT and FS. It's not important enough to fight this, instead I prefer to watch from a distance as the brick castle FS has claimed to build burns to the ground.

I want believe you and after post a long thread about that, but i need more link or some source to obtain the truth.
Also i try to communicate with FS to take their version but currently nobody answer me =x.

Another people said you dont work on Valve/Steam software.
Can you proove it ?

Vous pouvez d'ailleurs retrouver cette discussions ainsi que beaucoup d'autres info à vérifier ici. Site que j'ai trouvé par hasard et ou il ont pris soin d'enlever mon mail et mon pseudo .
Mon dernier mail qui date de quelques jours n'a toujours pas donné de suite.
Je n'ai trouvé nulle part sa présence en tant que dev travaillant pour steam/Valve.
FS n'a jamais répondu à une seule de mes questions.
Je ne peux donc de mon point de vue rien conclure.

Mais je trouvé l'idée intéressante de chercher la vérité sans manger tout ce qu'on me donne.
Dernière chose, pas la peine de me dire que je suis un crétin car je suis déjà au courant.

Stratège, tu n'a sans doute pas tout les éléments en mains qui ont conduite FS à prendre cette décision.

C'est bien pour cela que j'ai juste copié-collé ce que j'avais trouvé afin de ne pas tomber bêtement dans la théorie du complot ou dans le lynchage de binary.
